 In conjunction with Coastal Carolina LAX, LLC, the Duke Blue Devil Womens Lacrosse Assistant Coach Josh Hexter and some current premier Duke University Blue Devil players are coming to Wilmington, NC  to work with the Lady 'Cudas of Coastal Carolina LAX Club Lacrosse Team.

Any US Lacrosse South Region Lacrosse U19 / U15 Girl Lacrosse Players and Complete US Lacrosse Club Teams also invited to participate in the "Winter Tune-up"!

Take part in this rare opportunity to gain expert skills training from Duke Assistant Coach Josh Hexter and several world class lacrosse athletes.  This event is designed for NC/SC Coastal Teams & Players in order to meet our club goals to develop lacrosse in our region

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN, LEARN AND COMPETE THE SAME DAY:  For participating Club Teams that wish to bring their full squads to this exciting LAX day, where coaches can observe the skills stations, take notes and generally take part in this extremely fun LAX Day...  After the Tune-up Sessions are brought to a close and everyone has had lunch, we plan to have a 1pm to 3pm limited competitions between teams in attendance.

Josh Hexter begins his fifth season with the Duke women’s lacrosse program. He works primarily with the team’s offense and in 2007 helped lead the Blue Devils to 15.29 goals per game, the second-best in the nation that season. In 2008, Hexter’s offensive unit netted 279 goals in 21 games and posted 113 assists as a team. The squad’s point total of 392 was good for eighth-best in the nation.
Prior to Duke, Hexter served as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Mass. While at Bridgewater State, the program amassed a 72-42 record and made a trip to the New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) title game in six consecutive seasons. He led the team to two conference championships during this time and in 2003, Bridgewater made the program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Before coaching at Bridgewater, Hexter coached the New England III Team in the National Tournament and in the Bay State Games. He also served as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach at The College of the Holy Cross from 1996-97.
A 1995 graduate of Assumption College, he was a four-year standout defenseman on the lacrosse team, earning team captain and NECLA All-Star honors during his senior campaign. In 1995, Hexter became the first player in Assumption history to earn a spot in the East-West New England All-Star Game. Hexter and his wife, Courtney, reside in Durham with their sons, Evan (5) and Christopher (2), and dog, Rosie.

Personal: Born Christie Keene Kaestner on June 22, 1989 in Easton, Md. ... daughter of John and Kim Kaestner... has one sister, Ashby (21), and one brother, John (18) ... father, two uncles and grandfather were all standout lacrosse players at Johns Hopkins and Maryland ... mother, Kim, played basketball and tennis at Towson University ... sister is a member of the Georgetown women’s lacrosse team and brother will play at Johns Hopkins next year.
