Middle School Information
Teams will be chosen based on lottery. (We made adjustments to even out brackets and provide new matchups)
Team Rep required to check in team 30 min before first game. (Include final payment,roster and waivers)
All teams to have matching jerseys with numbers. Home made jerseys are fine
Home team (Team listed first or higher seed) Required to wear reversable if visitor jersey matches color.
Games will be 7v7 plus Goalie. 2 Attack, 3 Midfield, 2 Defense.
5v5 in attacking zone. 2 players from each team must stay onsides behind midline
All games are 20 min running time with no halftime. Horn will start and finish Games
After goal is scored play will be restarted with goalie clear. NO Draw
Modified checking rules will be enforced for Middle School Games.
Each Team will Play 4 games in their bracket (Pool Play)
Each Team will be seeded 1-15 based on Pool Play.
Top 6 Seeds will play For championships.
Awards will be issued to winner in each bracket!
All games ending in a tie will be broken by 1v1 Braveheart.
Seeding after pool play will be based on the following items in order.

Important info:
- Parking will be tight...arrive early to allow time to find a spot...or even better: try to carpool!!!!
- Pets are not allowed at Finley Fields.
- Feel free to set up a tent for your team.
- Personal (team) grills are not allowed at Finley Fields.
- Spectators should bring chairs as there are no bleachers at Finley Fields.
- There will be a full concession stand on site with burgers, hot dogs, pizza, drinks, fruit, and snacks.
- Please encourage your team to support the concession stand as the proceeds help keep the costs of future Blast events down (Carolina Blast is a non profit organization) AND with parking so limited, it will be hard to come and go...
- Long Sleeve Pumpkin Shootout t-shirts will be sold for $15...supply is limited and we are unable to re-order this year so if your players want one they should purchase it upon arrival. Available sizes: YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL. Logo pictured below...
- Team reps can reserve PS t-shirts for your players via email to colleen@blastlax.com by Thursday (Oct 20) with TEAM T-SHIRT ORDER in subject line. Include team name, quantity and size breakdown. Reserved TEAM t-shirt orders can be paid for in total and picked up at the registration table by the team rep at check in.
- There will be many great raffle items on display in the pavilion...the drawing for all prizes will take place at 2 pm and winning tickets will be posted in the pavilion at that time. Tickets are $1 OR $10 for an arm’s length OR $20 for a Pumpkin Shootout t-shirt and an arm’s length of tickets.
- NEW THIS YEAR!!!! All brackets winners will receive the Pumpkin Shootout 2011 medal pictured on the website! The HS Championship team will receive a Pumpkin Shootout hoodie by Harrow Sports.
- As always, Battle Lacrosse of Cary will be on site with a great selection of equipment and apparel!
- Harrow Sports will be there with with a display of their latest and greatest women’s lacrosse products.
